Meeting Minutes
November 19, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM by Chairman Webber.
Members Present: Mr. Webber & Mr. Robertson
Members Absent: Mr. Genest
Staff present: Galen Stearns (Town Administrator)
- The board met with J. Gallagher (NHDES) & Mary Maloney (NHDOJ) at property located off Elm Ave to view the hydro facility. Mr. Gallagher stated that NHDES had been contacted the previous evening by Lori Borg stating that she had purchased Steel Pond Hydro from Carl Erickson. At that point all agreed that until ownership of the facility was clarified there was no need for further discussions.
- Mr. Stearns presented the DRA worksheet for the tax rate and explained the various options and how the revaluation will affect the tax rate. The board reviewed the options and the impact of the school and the reduced amount of adequacy grant being received this year. Mr. Webber motioned to limit the tax increase to 3% over last year as calculated on equalization of the new assessments with last year’s assessments, Mr. Robertson 2nd, passed 2/0. The requested tax rate will be $28.44
